You Can Call Me Martha

But I'm pretty sure Martha...

...wouldn't leave her holiday greenery up all year.

Yep, that's still last year's decorations :-D.

In my defense, even brown I still think it's sort of pretty. And besides, Martha "has people".

So, I'm out cutting some fresh greenery. Betsy's helping. And trying to figure out how to get in the front door.

And just when I think "ooh, I can set this up as a nice photo"...

...like a flash she races out to Burning Bush (also brown...and still pretty ;-) to try to catch a bird.

Remember this scene.

Cats are kind of uncooperative like that.

I think the brown is pretty, too. :)

Last year's brownery is a testamonial to WiWi's age and wisdom as regards not-jumping-high-anymore. Dexter has been on TOP of the grandfather clock case! I can imagine the short work he and Calvin would make of REAL GREENERY on the mantel.

Gorgeous window decos, though. Kudos. And Betsy's fur is such a beautiful contrast. Thanks, that was my Christmas fix today.

Martha is creative AND efficient, so as long as the mantel is covered you don’t have to dust it :-)
The photos you got of Betsy amidst the pine cuttings are an adorable capture.

I love the way the brownery has kept such great shape! Round here it would be so covered in dust you'd belucky to tell what colour it is LOL

Hee, hee! I was just thinking about how lame I was that I didn't want too much greenery...well, that's because I know me!! It will end up there forever! LOL I love that people can put it up and take it down in a fortnight...I'm not that girl! Glad you have a lazy feline to help!! I have an ornery feline to help!

Really?? Last year's greenery? Well, I think brown is quite pretty too... maybe with a spider web or two in there for sparkle.Just add some ribbon and pretend that this is what you intended. Martha would be proud.

And, if given a choice, Cats will always choose to chase a bird over posing for a camera. It's the nature of the beast...

I am laughing. Last year's Christmas greenery! Funny. It is pretty though. I keep finding little green 'needles' from the fake greenery that I put up last year. It's old and keeps falling apart.

PS - Your sweater a few posts back....beautiful.

LOL I laughed......HARD! IF I put up Christmas greenery it would be EXACTLY the same but don't call me Martha;)))))
